CHALK opened on 10 October with a series of exciting exhibitions and events across the city.
In a reversal of the custom for private views, CHALK launch events welcomed the public across three venues offering an opportunity to meet artists and curators and be part of special events encompassing contemporary art, poetry, creative writing, performance and film.

10 days, the biennial interdisciplinary arts platform across Winchester invites you to join over 100 artists and writers on the theme of CHALK. Geologically, chalk is rare, yet Winchester is built upon and surrounded by it. Chalk has long been a material of art and local archaeology.
