Thursday 15 October | The hub 7 – 9 | The Materiality of Chalk August Davis (Curator, The Winchester Gallery at Winchester School of Art, will Chair an intimate discussion with artists, Beverly Ayling-Smith, Anna Cady and Atsuhide Ito, as they share how they have responded to the materiality of chalk as a metaphor for mortality. A serious theme presented in a light-hearted, sensitive and thought provoking way over a glass of wine.

Thursday 22 October | The Hub 7 - 9 pm The Chalk Stream. In our second Thursdays in Conversation event Robert Hutchinson, founder of Winchester Action on Climate Change, introduces artists Penny Burnfield, Anne Wheeler, Tina Wallbridge and David Steer Professor in Physical Geography (University of Southampton). The unique ecology of the chalk stream will be discussed, followed by informal conversation and a glass of wine.
