10 days – Winchester 2009

Welcome

10 days was a biennial, interdisciplinary, arts platform organised by arts professionals in Winchester, dedicated to making contemporary arts accessible and engaging the widest possible audience.

From 2009 to 2019, it brought together all sections of the community through exhibitions and ambitious participatory events. Today, its legacy lives on through the artists who established creative collaborations, unlocked unique spaces and found inspiration in a common cause which brought their work to new audiences in Winchester and beyond.

With a core commitment to the visual arts, 10 days welcomed participation from all forms of practice, embracing collaboration, interdisciplinary practices and multiculturalism, and fostering partnerships between business, education, local government and other sectors.

This website showcases some of the extraordinary work achieved by the projects and participants and will provide resources for artists, curators, collaborators and funders seeking inspiration for similar projects in the future.
